If you have ever been to Perth then you may have noticed the impressive development of a number of stunning gardens in the city. One of the main reasons for this is that Perth now has one of the most interesting and cultivated yards in Australia. Perth is a city that has a long and rich history and if you visit you will see that the gardeners of Perth are not afraid to use their imagination to get their gardens to reflect their history.
For example, there is the Pear Tree that was used by the Aboriginal people. A unique shaped pear tree can be found on the beaches and along the coastal strip, where the Indian Ocean meets the South West coast of Western Australia.
If you walk down the beach you can see this unique pear tree with an interesting round shape and the food it was planted to grow upon (a young oyster shell) is called (naboka). A typical style of Landscaping Perth here is to plant open vegetable beds that are then decorated with rocks and shells to give a natural look.
Another style of landscaping that is used in Perth is to use a classic landscape design of the European fountains and porches. This style looks spectacular and adds a unique element to any garden.
If you walk along the avenue that leads to the Asian Street you will see a fountain with greenery sprouting from it. This fountain is known as Treena. It is a design that is made to bring the beauty of natural life into your yard.
Some of the best places to find a lot of greenery are along the footpaths and streets on the beaches. If you want to see a traditional style of the garden here is the place to go. Banyan trees are very popular and you can even have your own little piece of Banyan Country.
Here you can see the pear tree that is large enough to hold the water it will be sitting in when the children have a picnic. It is the epitome of a cultivated yard and is surrounded by ornamental foliage.
Another beautiful tree to see on the beaches is the Melissa tree. It is a very large tree with an upright trunk and leaves that are used to sit on during the summer months. In Perth the rose bush grows over the main portion of the pear tree and makes it very interesting to look at.
When you walk down the beach you can walk over to the water and look at the iconic David Dutton’s pear tree that is a traditional styled fern and palm with its pearly white fruit. The vegetable beds in the garden look so good, the nice wind blowing will encourage plants to grow and the location is ideal for its use.
Hawthorn bush is another popular plant to see. It is used as an ornamental plant as well as a productive way to add greenery to the garden. It is a perfect focal point in a garden, particularly when you are trying to encourage natural colour and beauty.
This particular bush grows in the area that many people call the “Thicket” because of the peculiarly beautiful trees that grow there. One of the trees you can view is the Perth Phalaenopsis which can be found on the road beside some lanes. On its own, the Perth Phalaenopsis tree is very colourful and adds a natural feel to one’s gardens. Its huge size is a feature that you will appreciate when you see it growing up amongst other trees.
