Types of financing mechanisms covered

This website focuses on "eco-finance", i.e. financing aimed at supporting environmental projects and investments. eco-finance.org currently provides information on eco-finance in the following sectors (in alphabetical order):
eco-finance.org covers both, eco-finance offered on commercial (i.e., non-subsidized) terms and eco-finance offered on subsidized terms. Both, eco-finance from domestic sources and from international/foreign sources is covered.

Elaboration of "institutional profiles"
|
For selected eco-finance institutions eco-finance.org provides "institutional profiles". These profiles contain more detailed, and often exclusive and original information on selected domestic eco-finance mechanisms and institutions. Currently, profiles of 15 eco-finance mechanisms in South East Europe are provided. In most cases, the profiles presented on eco-finance.org represent the only publicly available, detailed source of information (in English) on recent operations of the featured institutions. Click here to view these institutional profiles.
Such institutional profiles are being elaborated based on a questionnaire provided by eco-finance.org. Typically, an institutional profile is drafted by a representative of the respective eco-finance mechanism/institution, by a local consultant or directly by eco-finance.org. In principle, each profile is drafted based on publicly available documentation. Before publication on our website, the draft profile is finalized based on comments from eco-finance.org. The author's contact details and affiliation are published in each profile available on eco-finance.org.
